Twelves - Chapter Seven

Suleiman and Emily reach the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. ”The terrain is going to get a lot rougher from here on out.” said Suleiman. “I don’t know how much longer we are going to be able to ride.” Hours pass the pathway gets steeper and rockier until Suleiman and Emily are forced to stop. Climbing out of the “Horse” they begin to scout around for a way up or out.

“Thank-you Lord!” exclaims Suleiman. “Just the way Eddie described it in his notes a stairway into the mountains!”  Before them is a set of stairs hewn out of the rock. The stairway leads up into the heart of the Atlas Mountains!

Before they can begin their climb up the staircase the earth begins to rumble! A rocky outcrop gives way and huge boulders and stones fall downward toward them.
